Just the special functions assigned to particular pushbuttons, and to particular applications, don't work as configured. The mouse, if not recognized properly, still performs its basic functions (cursor moves, base pushbuttons and scrolling wheel work). This problem is not of kind "solve it, or die". Will perform some additional tests using other USB sticks, and using the version 1.15 rescue system, or PBA v1.15 from USB stick, or even biospba from USB stick. I have no idea even, if the dongle may have any internal registers, in which it can store the information about itselve, and about the mouse that transmits toward it, or whether such info is stored in some BIOS memory, that is then cleared during restart (but if I restart my laptop, without powering it off, the mouse, if already recognized, it stays recognized after that restart). both still work but had this problem before with setpoint not recognizing mouse and thats why I have logi options. I have no idea, whether it is caused by PBA software, or by my laptop BIOS during the restart. 2 versions of Logitech SetPoint and solutions related to them, the latest Logitech Unifying Software have been tried. It seems that some information, that the dongle contains/obtains upon its power up, is gone during the PBA activity, or during the restart that the PBA causes after unlocking the drive. If the dongle is on its place continuously since power on, and the hdd has to be unlocked (and then there is another restart), the mouse is not recognized after the Windows OS is booted. I wrote, that when I re-seat the dongle (wireless mouse USB receiver) after the restart caused by the PBA (even before the real MBR starts acting), the mouse is being properly recognized by the Logitech Setpoint s/w for Windows. And if it at least cycled the power to the USB (and not to the hdd), it should be even helpful. The problem is that after the restart caused by the PBA, it is not properly recognized by the Logitech software working on booted Windows.Īll I know that my laptop does not cycle the power during the reboot, because I should not be able to unlock my SED in such case. they are working, except after latest update on logi options it doesnt find the receiver.
And I don't care about the mouse support during the PBA activity. the unifiyng software finds both keyboard and mouse but setpoint has just keyboard. Then the Windows will automatically repair your hardware and device problems, including Logitech wireless mouse driver issue. Step 2: And in Troubleshoot window, you will see Hardware and Devices, click it to Run the troubleshooter. To reconnect your mouse to a Windows computer: Download the correct version of Logitech SetPoint mouse and keyboard software from the M325 Downloads page. I am not familiar with Linux, then I cannot answer your question. Step 1: Search Troubleshooting in the Search box and enter it. If changing the settings doesnt work, i would setup vista on another computer, install setpoint, install your mouse, set the prefs, copy the user.xml to your 2008 圆4 machine, restart setpoint and see if the tab is visible.Thank you, r0m30, for your fast response.
However, if this tab is not visible and SetPoint is not displayed as shown below, you will need to re-install SetPoint. I upped the entire file user.xml that includes settings for my MX1000 and MX revolution from Vista x86 incase the copy your setpoint generated is messed up if you dont have either of those mice, you might have to edit the DisplayName= or the Model= parts but i think you should be able to get it working. Normally, you should be able to customize your MX Revolution settings in SetPoint (Logitechs Mouse and Keyboard Software) on the My Mouse tab. also i noticed if you make the 2 numbers different, it just picks the lower number and changes the higher value to match. Other numbers could probably be substituted but setpoint will just replace them with the closest number on the list or reset them to default. All the speed settings are stored in the Param tag under Device
